Orchard Road - new facelift

Yesterday after half day work, my hubby and I browsed the Orchard Road. It's been quite some time since our last visit. We went to 313 Somerset first. It's a great shopping mall especially for young people. You can find whatever brands you want to look for, such as: Zara, Uniqlo, Esprit, G2000, Forever21, Guess, HMV, and many more. For food choices, there are Marche, Trattoria Italian, Food Republic, etc.

Wrote on Post-It Note - To Do List for Next Year (mine)

Next, Orchard Central. The building is nice, but for shopping, not that good. It's a bit complicated to find the escalator inside, but I admit, the design is really great!!! They have a very high and long escalator that can be seen from outside.

2. View of Orchard Central from the outside - the escalator

3. View of Orchard Point - from top of Orchard Central

4. View of Centrepoint from Orchard Central

We went to Centrepoint, then OG. Had our lunch near OG there.

We continued our journey by passing through HMV Building - they renovated the front part, Mandarin Gallery - front part of Mandarin Hotel - it's opened now!, Takashimaya, Wisma Atria, ION, passed through the underpass to Wheelock Place, went to the opposite, Isetan, and had a gulp of free Coca Cola... Hehehe... Enjoy the pictures!!!

6th day in Indonesia

Yesterday night we had kuo tie and rujak juhi (dried sotong rujak) in Pancoran for dinner. It was our favourite food since we were very young. The kuo tie is small, can bite in 1 or 2 mouth, crispy skin outside while inside is steamy pork meat w vegetable. My cousin bought martabak, half keju (cheese) and half choco peanut, takeaway home.

This morning we had chicken noodle in Mie Abadi. The noodle is thick and hard like rubber, it's their specialty. The chilli is spicy. We ate siomai and fried pork ball as side dishes.

In the afternoon we went to temple to pray, then my mom and I continued our jouney to ITC Mangga Dua, the shopping paradise for everyone. Its stuffs are not really cheap, but there are lots of varieties of goods sold over there, both local and imported products. I'm very satisfied to find all things I wanted today. I spent quite lots of money but I brought back so many stuffs with me. If I shop in shopping mall spending that amount of money, I may only bring back 2-3 stuffs home.

We shopped until 3 pm and went back home by Bajaj. Bajaj is a three-wheel transportation. We took a newer version. Its colour is blue, size is bigger, less noise and air pollution, use gas as a fuel, use leg to brake instead of hands, and the one we took, it even has two big speakers behind our seats. It's very interesting. The whole journey I kept praying that we could reach home safely and soundly. I was afraid that we were robbed on the way home, because it's opened and easy prey to rob. Thanks God that we reach home safely. :)

Tonight we ate kambing soup Soma at the roadside then went back home and sleep early. Tomorrow I've gotta wake up early to eat pie oh again at 6am in the morning. Well, write til here. Continue again tomorrow. Gud nite!!!

4th day in Indonesia

Today we went to outside Jakarta. My parents, 2 sis, cousin, my son and I, 7 of us sat in 1 car. Our first destination is Bandung. We went to my cousin's bf house at Cipaku. We had lunch at the house's veranda.

Dajie and Baobei played baby foot ball :)

Great house with great view. We were served various dim sum, rice, ayam buah keluak, fried noodle, plus the food cooked and brought by my cousin, sambal petai prawn and chicken chilli.

Lunch at veranda

We took a look at the sheeps that were raised by them too on top of his house.

After lunch, we continued our journey to Garut. We had foot reflexiology at one of the villager's house. He is great in foot reflexiology. While I was massaged, he would tell me what sickness do I have. By touching my foot in less than 15 seconds, he could know that I have surplus in antibody which causes stir with the antibodies themselves. He also said that there is something wrong with my amandel. He said he could fix lots of disease by treating it with reflexiology. But it requires many times of treatment. Like for my case, I need to do it for about 100 times or three months time. Lots of people look for him even from a very faraway places.

No wonder my father likes to go there. He said he inherited his skills from his father. He talked much about IQ, EQ, SQ, RQ, and so on. He said he has treated many people who were sick. He pressed the foot. Whenever we feel pain, it means there is something wrong with our body parts. By doing reflexiology, he could fix the problem points, but it is really painful!!! We would shout and pull our foot from his hand. Heheheh...

Interesting person. My father was in very much pain when he was massaged. I thought my father wouldn't feel the pain, but I was wrong. My son even laughed at him. And tell u what? Whenever my son was naughty, I told him, be careful, later gong2 will hit you. And do you know what he told me? Never mind, later I ask the uncle again to massage hom harder so that he would be in great pain.... Kekekeke....

My son was massaged as well. But according to research, the younger you are, the less sickness you'll have, so you will have less pain when you were massaged. Can see the difference when you see the reaction of people who were massage. Hahaahahah.... :D

Baobei had his foot reflexiology

Once everyone has done, we continued our journey to the hotel. We sleep at Cipaganti hotel. Before that, we had our dinner at Cibiuk, a Sundanese restaurant. We had fried chicken, sour soup, grilled petai, batagor, empal (marinated beef), and deep fried fish with free flow salad and chilli sauce. Hehehehe.... :D

At Hotel Cipaganti

We went to hot spring water pool after dinner, about 7pm, then went back to our hotel. We continued soaking our bodies in our hotel room's bathroom. There was small hot spring bath inside our room. We talked and chatted inside. It was quite fun!

After that we had a beer and fried pig skin. Great moment, hehehee... Oklah I'm tired now. Going to sleep now. Gud nite!

3rd day in Jakarta

I woke up early this morning, followed my mom to market. She bought ingredients for breakfast and lunch. We had mom cooked lor mie for breakfast. It's one of my favourite food.
After that I went to the room, reading back my old notes. It took me back to the days when I was still quite young. I always regard this home as a place full of loves and memories. Although many still has been buried somewhere.

In the afternoon my two sisters came. Both stay here tonight. We finally play w Rafa again.
Afternoon menu: beef ribs soup w carrot n potato, chilli petai w prawn. Both taste great! Home cooked food is always the best!

We went to salon after that. Three women had creambath. I had pedicure at the same time. My son had his hair cut and wash. Once finished we went inside the mall. I bought my son a deck od Animal Kaiser cards. It's very famous in Timezone now.

He is very happy with his new things. It's kinda hard and expensive to play that game in Singapore. Here, at least he managed to play few games. We sat at Kafe Betawi for high tea. I had Soto Betawi Daging. My sis has rujak juhi and Soto Mie. All taste good.

We went back home and made ourselves ready for the next appointment. My eldest aunt invited us for dinner at her house. They were having praying session, blessing something, which 'til now I still don't know what... Er..... ;P

At my aunt's house

It's kind of family gathering from my mom side. I managed to meet up with quite lots of relatives there. The food was great too! I managed to eat bakwan and bakso that usually sold at roadside :)

Mei Ling, Claire and me :)

It's late now. I'm going to sleep soon. Tomorrow we're going to have 2 days 1 nite trip to Garut and Bandung. Good nite everyone!

2nd day at home

Here we go!! I'm at my home's balcony now sitting on the floor and trying to get rid of mosquitoes, at the same time trying to get the internet connection as it's very hard to get one inside the house. My cousins and her families have just left to the airport. They're going to Yogyakarta at East Java for holiday and after that fly to their home town in Bangka directly. Below are my three cousins (they all sisters) : Moi (the eldest), Lan (fourth), Fong (the youngest), Kayle (Moi's daughter - sleeping one), and Zach (Moi's son)

It's been more than 13 years since we last met. She studied in US then getting married, having children and staying there for goods. This time round they're coming back since her sister just got married last week. She has 2 children. 1 boy, 3 months older than Reever, and a girl of 3 yrs old. Reever kept asking about the 2 children once he arrived here yesterday and only managed to see them at night. They got together pretty quick. They played UNO and spy darts together till sleeping time. And this morning too.

Zachary and Reever

Zachary kept asking me if Reever could go back to States together with them at the end of the year, and perhaps Reever could go to school together with him and maybe staying at the same class. Hahahaha... What a simple mind of children, I like their thinking so much. They don't think much and far as long as they can get whatever things they want and like.

Reever 7th year Birthday :)

Well... Yesterday was Reever's 7 years old birthday. Like I wrote in previous blog, it's his first time to celebrate his birthday in Jakarta together w my parents, sisters, and families. Last year was in Hong Kong, though. We went for early dinner at Gandy Steak Restaurant in Gajah Mada area. The restaurant has been there for over 20 years, since I was as same age as Reever, but they got renovated for sure. And the food is not as good as before. But it's alright. My eldest sis bought a Ben 10 birthday cake for him. The band sang a birthday song for him. He cut his cake and blew his candle there. Then we went back home, go through the traffic jam in city area like usual.

Although I just went back here few months ago, I always find this city changing from time to time. Like this morning, as usual, my parents and I went to eat pie oh, kind of turtle meat, at the Chinatown area so early in the morning. We left home at 6am. When we reached there, I saw the burnt shopping centre called GLoria. It used to be one of the oldest shopping centre in Chinatown. I used to go there when I was young. Even at the last visit to Jakarta, I still saw the building and its shops inside. But now it's gone. It was caught fire somewhere this year. I still have a vivid image of how the shops inside look like 'cos I often went there to buy the batik, the Indonesia's traditional clothes. There were old medicines shops, the Chinese old pottery shops, cakes shop, even supermarket.. And now it's gone. What left was just the memory. It's kinda sad for me to see that. My aunt used to rent a cloth shop there about 20 years ago.

And I like to see the surrounding when I was inside the car. It's kinda sad too that my home town's condition is deteriorating day by day. The spoilt road, the dirty river, the old buildings like nobody cares... You know what, you still can find here on the roadside where a group of people watching a small TV outside the small stall. At least it's colour TV, not a black and white one. If I compare with Singapore, people in Singapore should be grateful with a TV in each room, with some big flat LCD TV with built in stereo surround. Haiz... I don't know what to say. We live in the same world, at the same time, but the condition could be very much different. It reminds me when my hubby asked me to watch the TV on how the North Korea people lives their life there.

Well, I guess it's enough for now. Going to take a bath now and we're going to have my eldest sis birthday lunch soon at Emporium. We're going to have steamboat there. Well, have a great Sunday everyone!! And feel great with what you have now :)

Reever and his drawing

Baobei and his creations :)
Yesterday three of us went to Ikea. We managed to buy an office chair, so I don't have to get my back pain while sitting down in front of our PC for long time.

While I was sitting inside Reever's room watching movie, Reever asked me to go out and guess what? He showed me his drawing creation that he did on the chair's carton boxes. He asked us (Ray and I) to buy his drawing and pay with real money. Hahaha.... Enjoy the photos below and if you are interested to buy.. just let me know... ;P

Laogong and Baobei

Me and Baobei - Discounted item especially for me hehehe.... :)

My sis-in-law and mother-in-law :)

Welcome to the club!

Just finished watching 2012 at AMK Hub w/ my hubby. Quite a nice show and it made me wondering a lot if the real ship is really existing in this world! As we always know that life is full of conspiracy.
Anyway... Just received the news that my dad has won the lucky draw, the BB Bold yesterday night and he passed it to my mom. What a lucky mom!!!
And my 3rd sis has just gotten her BB too and going to play it soon. Hehehe.. Indeed the world becomes smaller w/ BB around. We can easily exchange words, pics, and even voices around, instantly!!!
But my mom need to wait 'til my eldest sis going back home so that she would know how to operate that lil' machine. Hehehe.... Kinda amazing that my mom would join the ym and bbm soon, and to get instant updates on fb too.. Hehehe...
Going to timezone after this. It's Reever's time!!! Enjoy ur weekend everyone!!

Thursday, November 12, 2009

It's Thursday afternoon. The sky just started raining. The queue is getting longer but the bus has not been seen yet. Many things going on in my working place and also in my daily life. People come and go, need to adapt to new environment. Tomorrow I plan to have family outing, just wish that the weather is nice and not that hot.
Counting down now. In one month's time, I'll be going home again. Can't wait for the time to come. Hope everything goes on smoothly.
Well, I'm waiting now. Hope everything is alright. Have a great life everyone!!!

Sunday, October 18, 2009

Yesterday we were staying at home almost a whole day. We went out only in the morning where we went to market to have our breakfast and buy all ingredients for steamboat. After that, I spent the rest of the day at home playing Farm Town and ate steamboat of course w/ R's friends.

What I like about steamboat is.. the morning after that. Why? Because I like to use the leftover ingredients, such as prawn, chicken & pork meat, pork/sotong ball, Chinese cabbage and tung fen (tang hoon noodle), to fry it altogether and become a nice breakfast. Hehehehe..... I love to cook those things. Those are my favorite food, even during my study time long ago in Swiss. Saved money at the same time, 'cos outside food was very expensive.

Anyway... Plan to go out later after 2pm. We're going to a new mall at Farrer Park, called City Square Mall to have a walk and window shopping. Kekeke...

Well.. enjoy ur weekend everyone....

Already gone - by Kelly Clarkson

Remember all the things we wanted
Now all our memories they're haunted
We were always meant to say goodbye

Even with our fists held high
It never would've worked out right
We were never meant for do or die

I didn't want us to burn out
I didn't come here to hold you, now I can't stop

I want you to know that it doesn't matter
Where we take this road someone's gotta go
And I want you to know you couldn't have loved me better
But I want you to move on so I'm already gone

Looking at you makes it harder
But I know that you'll find another
That doesn't always make you want to cry

Started with a perfect kiss then we could feel the poison set in
Perfect couldn't keep this love alive
You know that I love you so, I love you enough to let you go

I want you to know that it doesn't matter
Where we take this road someone's gotta go
And I want you to know you couldn't have loved me better
But I want you to move on so I'm already gone

I'm already gone, already gone
You can't make it feel right when you know that it's wrong
I'm already gone, already gone
There's no moving on so I'm already gone

Already gone, already gone, already gone
Already gone, already gone, already gone, yeah

Remember all the things we wanted
Now all our memories they're haunted
We were always meant to say goodbye

I want you to know that it doesn't matter
Where we take this road someone's gotta go
And I want you to know you couldn't have loved me better
But I want you to move on so I'm already gone

I'm already gone, already gone
You can't make it feel right when you know that it's wrong
I'm already gone, already gone
There's no moving on so I'm already gone

Time flies like butterfly

Time really flies this week. I didn't realize it until my hubby told me that this afternoon, he was asking his friend, when the last time they met at Alan's house for baby one month's celebration. And he said.. it was last Sunday. And today is Friday!! OMG!!! 5 days just went on like that. I might be too busy covering my colleague who is holidaying to Europe since last Saturday. She always said about this trip since months ago and I really can't imagine that it's going to over soon this Sunday. Wow... is the world rotating faster than it used to?
There is another earthquake at Java Island this evening. Is it because the world rotating faster so it creates the earthquake more often this last few days?? Yeah, maybe it's just my imagination.
My sister can't wait to go home. It's another 1.5 months for her, and about 2 months more for me. I can imagine that when the time comes, I would feel that I was just saying this words as if yesterday. Kekekeke.....
I manage to finish few tasks this week. So although I was busy, but I satisfied with my work. Not completely finish, but I've encounter most of it. The fear... and at least I have less thing to learn and most importantly.. I become more confident in thing that I do. Of course not completely able to do it.. but.. at least one thing has been done. Hehehe...
Oklah.. it's weekend again. Have a great weekend everyone... Byeeee

Oktoberfest 09

Yesterday night Ellen, Steph, PY, and I met up for dinner at Paulaner Brauhaus in Milennia Walk, just the opposite of Suntec Convention Centre. We made a reservation since about 10 days ago and there we were!

We started our meal by ordering 1 set of Sausages Platter and 1 set of Paulaner Platter. Both contains sausages, mashed potato, and sauerkraut, the only different was just the Paulaner one contains Pork Knuckles and meatloaf. 4 of us shared the food and each of us ordering the Oktoberfest Bier 0.5 litre, a special freshly brewed from Paulaner own microbrewery. It came with long and slim glass.

About 8 pm we finished our meal and the live band was just started. It's a group of German guys played their musical instruments. The room was full of music. They sang and dance. And guess what? After the band played few songs, there were another group of people wearing the German folk dress. It contains 4 guys and 1 girl. I thought they were part of the band... And when they passed by our table going to the direction to another table nearby ours, we saw one guy look very familiar... Guess what?? He is our hotel's GM (General Manager). Kekeke.. what a coincidence.... He was there with his fellow friends in a big table. The other three tall guys are his sons and the woman is his wife. Hahaha... After he settled down, he looked at our side. We waved our hands to him then he realized about our presence. He came by and talked for a while then he had his dinner. So did we.

Our first glass of beer has finished. So we intended to order a second one. Then we saw the menu. There was another drink come with quantity of 2 cl and 4 cl. We asked the waiter and he said it came with different flavors, raspberry, cherry, and pear. In my mind, I thought it was a beer.. Since they brew their own beer, well, I thought.. why don't we try??? So we ordered each of them. The names are: Schlanderer Williams Birne (Pear), Schlanderer Himbeergeist (Raspberry), and Schlanderer Kirschwasser (Cherry).

When it came to our table, I was surprised! It came with small glasses. All with same colour, white.. but with different smell. Hahaha.. only then we realised that it wasn't a beer, but a German hard liquor. Since it came, we could only try and drink it. I guess the alcohol level was quite high, about 40% maybe? The taste were almost like vodka. Each of us took turn drinking, err.. sipping it.. hahahahaha... We sang and danced. It was great!!

We ordered their homemade apple strudel with vanilla ice cream as a dessert. It looks nice and tastes really good.

The band stopped at about 9.40pm. My friend still didn't want to go home yet... So we ordered another food and beer to share. This time we ordered food hot (appetizer), a Potato rosti with dry smoked ham gratinated with Gruyere Cheese.. hm... Gruyere.. Swiss cheese.. plus 1 litre of Beer.. this time came with a big glass... hehehe... Prost!!!

Overall the dinner was good.. Food is delicious, beer is fresh, liquor is enough to make us laugh a lot, ambience was superb and most importantly.. the accompanies are great!!!! Thanks for dinner together gals... I hope all of you enjoying it too!!

Around the "work'

Started this week by having training about Food Hygiene organized by outside company approved by government. Visited my ex-colleague who was just giving birth the day before that, continued with having dinner @Novena Square w/ another ex-colleague. It's a baby girl, born in October 4th, 14.50pm, weight 3.74kg. It's a big baby.

Busying at work on Tue, and another half day training on Wednesday. Only after that I got a time to help up with a paint wall team competition organized by my working place, competed internally among departments. I painted the hotel words and color the Merlion... Stopped at 8pm then rushed home 'cos I was very hungry. Hehehe...

Yesterday I went back home on time. Didn't help up with painting since there were so many people attending the walls, no space for me, I guess, unless I stay over working hours, well, no thanks.

Stopping by the local supermarket and bought fruits, vegetables, bread, and dairy products. Suddenly I was craving to eat salad, thought of having sandwiches ala subway, and drinking healthy juices w milk or some yoghurts. Reached home, prepared my dinner. It's great! I love the food very much!!! I mixed banana, pineapple, and milk for the shakes.. Healthy and full of vitamins :)

Plan for tonight??? Going back on the dot, take shuttle bus, and go to Milennia Walk. Planning to have Oktoberfest dinner w fellow friends :) Hope everything is ok and have a great time later. Stop here.. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Below is the result from my test:

You are intelligent, honest and sweet. You are friendly to everybody and don't like conflict. Because you're so cheerful and fun people are naturally attracted to you and like to talk to you.

The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for: You are not looking merely for a girl/boyfriend - you are looking for your life partner. Perhaps you should be more open-minded about who you spend time with. The person you are looking for might hide their charm under their exterior.

Your readiness to commit to a relationship: You prefer to get to know a person very well before deciding whether you will commit to the relationship.

The seriousness of your love: Your have very sensible tactics when approaching the opposite sex. In many ways people find your straightforwardness attractive, so you will find yourself with plenty of dates.

Your views on education: Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.

What are you most afraid of: You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.

Who is your true self: You are full of energy and confidence. You are unpredictable, with moods changing as quickly as an ocean. You might occasionally be calm and still, but never for long.

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!!!

Today is lunar 15th Aug, which also known as Mid-Autumn. Chinese people usually celebrate the day by having dinner together and eat the mooncakes. I started the day by getting myself ready to attend my schoolmate's wedding, which was held in Crown Hotel at Changi Airport Terminal 3. It was Ann and her hubby, Jeremy, wedding. I went there w/ my son.

It was 8-course lunch reception. The food was nice and the service was good. The couple started their wedding by entering the main door, singing and dancing, just two of them. It's nice and soothing. Both of them gave speech on a stage and there were video montage taken on how both of them knew each other at the first place. Everything went on smoothly. We finished the party by 3.30pm.

Reever and I continued our journey to my brother's house at Bishan. My hubby were there when we reached the house. All of us went out at 6pm to Chatterbox at Meritus Mandarin Orchard, to have famous chicken rice dinner at the Chatterbox. It was my brother's idea to have a dinner there. It's my first time being there and tried the food. Now the restaurant was located at the 39th floor (the highest floor of the building, I think??). And the food price has also increased accordingly.. kekekeke... It costs $24.50 per plate now. WOW!! The most expensive chicken rice I ever ate... To be honest, the rice tastes so so... the chicken was not bad. Portion was ample and chilli and some other sauces were quite good. If you asked me to go back to patron the place again.. and pay by myself, then I'd think twice. Hahahaa.... prefer to eat at Kim San Leng at Bishan there. Anyway.. we enjoyed the view and ambience. And thanks to my bro and sis-in-law for treating us the dinner. Hehehehehe.....

After that, we had a great entertainment by my son and Aryn. They wore the fake glasses connected w/ mustache and there is whistle to blow and supposedly there should be the paper blown up, but somehow it only worked one of them. Hahaha.. Reever wore it and walked as if he used the sticks, acting as old people. Then Aryn was standing beside him to help with with the walking. People who saw them would smile and laugh, enjoying their entertainment.

We went to J8 after that and bought some ice creams at McDonalds before we separated our ways. Me and 2R had a walk for a while before going back home.

It's been a great day and I enjoyed myself very much. Get ready to get fat this month as there would be many makan occasions as well.. hahahaha... Well.. Happy Mid-Autumn Festival everyone!! Wherever you are, I'm sure you are enjoying yourselves as well.. Ciao!

Relaxing night

After busying for a week, finally it's Friday!!! I was very busy doing stocktake, and closing for these past few days. I slept early every night to make sure that I had enough energy to concentrate and do my job properly. Finally the day is over!!! Yesterday morning, I received a call asking me to make sure the journal posted so that the first P&L draft would come out by today. It was a record breaking actually that I managed to post all my journal (including monster journal) in a day!!! Usually I would drag a time to 1.5 days 'cos I don't want to tire myself out and it would depend on the preparedness of the job as well.. I was busying w/ all the invoices on 30th (after finish posting all the stock take figures), so that everything went on smoothly. So today I managed to finish all the reconciliations (well.. another record breaking that all was done in 2 days!!!). It tired me up, of course... but then.. I will go for training on Monday, that's why I tried my best to finish everything before I left.

I went out to my friend's farewell dinner at the finest Taiwanese dining, Shih Yuan, at Liang Court together w/ 4 other friends. The food was not bad. The quality is there for the price that we paid. The service was promptly and the workers were quite good at selling their products. We ordered 6 types of food for 5 of us and ended our dinner by ordering snow skin mooncakes and complimentary moachi from the restaurant.

I gave my friend little souvenir to remind her and encourage her whenever she faces any problem. Actually I was planning to wrap the gifts properly and send some messages inside, but because of the closing, I really had no time to do that. Well, if you read my blog here, I just wanted you to know.. those things I gave, has meaning in it. The 'smiling' candies are for you so that when you look at it, even before you eat it, you would smile and be happy. I bet you're celebrating ur departure from this company.. kekeke... and sad as well.. 'cos you have to leave your fellow colleagues. But since you've decided your mind on it.. you should bear the responsibility of it and make full use ur decision into doing something that you really wish to do, which is.. to continue ur study.

Studying is not an easy thing to do. But I know, you're quite clever in it and I'm sure you will make it! But no matter what, whenever you face any problem, or feeling sick of it... in case... that thing I gave you, hopefully can remind yourself not to quit, not to give up!!! You've chosen your way so.. better make a full use of it and make sure you do it well!! OK??? In case whenever you need friends around but they were not there.. somehow.. it can help to remind yourself not to quit!! Life is short. Life is precious. So, better make full use of it!

And small magnet thing.. is to remind you.. to treasure the present time.. now.. Not always buried yourself into your past time.. or worrying yourself about future.. always remember.. 'now' is the time that you're going through.. so seize the day and live life to the fullest.

Anyway.. although you're not working there anymore.. we're still friends and still can contact each other. Whatever thing you're doing.. we'll keep supporting you. Jia you!! And good luck in everything that you do, ok???

Going to sleep now.. Very tired and tomorrow I have few things to do.. Happy mooncake day!!! Or... Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!!! =P

I've never been this weak before. It's really suffering. These two days, what I did was just sleep, try to eat a little bit, vomit, go to toilet, and sleep again. Today when I fetched my son from school, the short distance was felt like miles away. I stopped few times before continued walking w/ my sis-in-law's son. Lucky I never faint on my way... Still feel quite weak but hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to go to work and do my job before stock take next Mon and Tue... Haiz... please help me, give me strength so that I can carry on my life and duty...
First of all, thank you for everyone who have sent me birthday wishes through sms, bbm, email, facebook, and even singing on the phone. Yesterday was my birthday. So I took two days leave from 22 to 23 Sept. My hubby asked me to book a hotel room at sister property. Then we went out on 22 Sept afternoon. First destination is to have lunch buffet at Jushinjung, a Korean restaurant. We went to the west branch. We slowly ate, actually, ate quite fast. We finished it at about an hour only. Hahahaha... I ordered my yummy spicy cold noodle while my hubby ordered BBQ saba fish and two sets of BBQ meat *chicken, two type of pork, and pork belly. Wow we ate very full!

So we decided to take a look at Haw Par Villa, which is located at the opposite of the restaurant. It's been so many years since each of us went there. Hm.. condition is better than what I imagined. I mean.. it's been repainted some time ago. Free admission, except to the Ten courts of hell ($1 per adult). We didn't go inside there. Just browsed around the area. Lots of statues everywhere. There was a pond with full of turtles and fishes. The turtles know when people is going to feed them. When they see there is people at the side of the pond, they will swim towards the person and wait for the person to give them the food.

We took bus to opposite of Suntec. It was a bit jam because there was a lane closure due to F1 preparation. We had a walk to the hotel. We were given a refurbished double bed room at 21st floor facing Esplanade and city.

We took a rest for a while, before going out again and had a walk from Marina Square to Suntec, and back to Marina Square again. We had buffet steamboat and alacarte at Hotpot Culture. We enjoyed our dinner so much and felt great with the place. There was chocolate fondue as well and it tasted great, accompanied with banana, strawberry, and ice cream. After that we had a walk to Esplanade. Sitting at the side of the quay and enjoyed the view of Singapore. We went back to hotel at 9.30pm, took a relaxing bath tub and watching TV. There was no hair dryer, so I left my wet hair like that and went to sleep. The air-con was quite cold as well although we have adjusted it. So that's why it began.

At 4am I was woken up. My stomach was full of air and.. series of lao sai began. Hahahaha.... at 6am, at 8am, and so on. Tried to have a sandwich breakfast at Subway, but not long after, I ended up vomiting it out. My stomach was really full of gas. The shit was watery and followed by gas outing. Must wear a mask. The worst thing is.. it happened to both of us, not just me... We took turn to use the toilet. Hahaha... We decided to take taxi back home.

I ate medicine that was given previously by the doctor. So I thought it would get better soon. I even fell asleep for about 2 hours. But when I woke up, the conditions were remain the same. And it even got worst. I had to go to toilet once in every 10 mins? Tried to eat something, but then vomited it out? So at about 8.15pm, I decided to see doctor. Ray accompanied me there and the doctor gave me a jab on my right arm and medicines for vomit and diarrhea. I tried to eat a little bit food, the fell asleep again.

This time, the sleep was very good. I slept at about 9.30pm and woke up this morning at 7.30am. Had a dream for a while, then decided to take the mc given by the doctor. So I smsed my colleagues and cooked a noodle to fill up my empty stomach and tried to drink more water.

Believe it or not.. I get sick on my birthday these few years back. Haiz... when I ate noodle this morning, just remember that I didn't eat noodle and egg yesterday. Well.. hopefully I can get better today and ready to work tomorrow... Jia you!!!

Recently lots of my friends are pregnant or giving birth to 2nd child. Can say that I was giving birth early.. but at the end, my production was stopped early too.. unlike the rest.. hehehehe.... If not because of the fact that I know, I would have been disappointed all this while. But what I need is to satisfy with what I have. No matter one, two, three, four or five, as long the child is healthy and happy, nothing can beat it. I'm very happy for all my friends. Lots of people says, it's better to have at least two, so that my son would have friend to play with. Anyway, my mother-in-law is taking care of my sis-in-law's son as well here, so my son is having someone to play with all this time. I know, one is a bit lonely, and that's what I didn't expect to have previously. But now, it doesn't matter, as long as he wouldn't live so selfishly and still learn how to share, to play, to take care others, and not just living in his own world. I believe God is fair. Nothing is perfect in this world. We can just make the best out of it.

Holiday plan

Have bought tickets for two for this December. Going back to home sweet home and be reunion with my family. Today I spoke to my dad about it and he was quite exciting about it, moreover I'll be there for more than a week (rather than usual short trip). And the most exciting part is that it would be their first time celebrating Reever's birthday together. And the second day would be my eldest sis b'day, which also my son's gang ma. My mum is planning to buy birthday cake for Reever. She is very exciting about it. Hehehe...

My sis will go back earlier than me from Australia and I'm going to meet her, her hubby, and their little chubby boy, Rafa. Can imagine pinching his cheeks whenever see him. Hahaha... My sis already asked me to bring my camera so that I can take pics of her son and herself. Well.. sans problem madam! There is nothing in this world that can replace the happiness of getting together with the family members.. Just hope everything would be alright, especially my leave.. hopefully there is no audit around.. or any other problem around so that my leave would be granted easily... Wish me luck, ok?

As for this week, it's a short holiday for me. It's public holiday here on Monday, to replace the Hari Raya that falls this Sunday. And I extend another two days off since I don't wish to work during my birthday next Wed. ^^

I've booked room at sister properties and will stay there for a night, with my hubby. My son has to go to school, that's why we won't bring him along... too bad sayang..... Aryn will celebrate her birthday the day before my birthday, and I don't think I'll celebrate together with them.. sorry.... They will celebrate it for her, where Aunty will cook..

I just wanna go around the city, relaxing and don't have to think about work...

Well.. going to sleep soon... Happy holiday everyone, especially those who stay in Indonesia, they're going to have quite long holiday for this Hari Raya celebration or Lebaran. Oh ya.. my school friend is coming too next Tue with her families, hope to see her around here.. Ciao!

"If you can't beat them, join them!"

Got this sentence from my friend's blog. That's really interesting!! I was in dilemma recently over something and this sentence may be the answer for it! Hahahaha...

School holiday has over. We didn't fly out. I took leave on Wednesday, 090909, and brought my son and my brother's son to the zoo. Starting their day with breakfast at McDonald, then went to the zoo. They kept wanting to go to Rainforest Zoo where they could play with water. They brought swimming suits and played there happily. We had KFC for lunch and only left the zoo at about 4.30 pm. We reached Bishan and had our early dinner at Kim San Leng.
On Friday he went to Wild Wild Wet with my sis-in-law and her families, also my mother-in-law. He played another whole day enjoying the holiday.
And today he went back to school. While I had dinner with my friend, he called me, saying that he is now a monitor. I was thinking for quite a while.. In my mind I was imagining the computer monitor.. Then he said it again.. *ting... oh.. class monitor... I am very happy for him. It will last for 2 months. There were two students chosen to become monitor, so he is one of them. When I reached home, he showed me his Monitor badge proudly. He is even wearing it now in front of me. He is reading poem now from A to Z. Hihihihi.. Love you very much Reever.. Muachhh....

It's 3am in the morning and I still awake. Just now I watched the DVD, HK series, Heart of Greed. Now shown on TV, channel 8 every night at 9pm. At first I didn't have any interest to watch. But after that.. not bad la.. rather than do nothing.. kekeke... Then my sis-in-law bought the DVD before, and my hubby borrows it from her. And tonight, we just watched 8 series in a row, where each series would take about 45 mins. Hahahaha... It's not ended yet. Still another 8 series to go. Going to watch tomorrow.

The story is about a happy rich HK families where they run business selling abalone. And after the Da Ma passed away, the Xiao Ma tried to take over her position and wanted to get the fortune herself with a help of her boyfriend. Haiz... why people never satisfy on what they have? Actually it's not really a good movie to see 'cos it's only showing those bad things that human would always do. Hatred.. Greed.. Also about betrayal in relationship. Some more the one who betrays the girl, is her own best friend. Haiyaa.....

Actually I was about going to sleep until I heard sms from my handphone. It was my sis-in-law message. Then I saw the msg from fb that my long lost friend has already added me as my friend. Wahh.. I am very happy to see her again! She is my primary school friend. Since we left the primary school, we still contacted to each other, until one day, we lost touch. You know la.. last time there is no handphone, no internet, so no personal number to contact when people move house.. and no email too.. I tried to search her this afternoon and so glad that I found her again. Not only her, there were still some other long lost friends I found. She is married with one kid. Glad to hear that! There are lots more to share I guess...

Today I went to listen the Dhamma talk again. Today's topic is very good. About.. paying what we owe to someone in this life. There were few stories that shi fu described and touched my heart. One of it is like this. Shi fu has a friend who was pregnant her first child. During 9 months pregnancy, doctor said there was nothing wrong with the baby. Everything was normal and baby was healthy. But when the baby came out, she was born abnormal. The mother was very sad and remorseful for what has happened. So instead of giving up the baby's life, she chose to love and take care this baby. She also followed the shi fu's advice to pray for this baby. Everyday she chanted and hope that this baby would be born normally in her next life. And after three years old, the baby passed away.So the shi fu explained that this happened because this mother may ever owed this baby before in her past life. And by giving birth to this baby, it gave a chance to this mother to repay the debt, and to do good deeds by showing her kindness to love the baby, pray for her, and everything that she has done to her. And after the debt has been paid fully for three years, the baby then left this world and hopefully can be born normally in her next life. After that, her friend pregnant again and has born a very beautiful baby girl and other 2 boys, all in a good health and normal.

And another story is when a woman gave birth to a baby where the baby could only move her eyes and mouth to eat. Doctor told her that this baby would only have 3 months to live. And what her mother did was to blame the doctor for the things that he did. I think when she gave birth, there was a little bit hard and the doctor did some suction to get the baby out. She also gave up this little baby. After three months had passed and the baby was still alive, she even ever thought of not giving this baby any food and wanted her to die. And til now, the baby still survive and has grown more than ten over years. Shi fu said, the mother was very angry with the child while the father loves this child very much. He is the one who takes care of this child. Giving her food to eat, helping her to take a bath, etc. And it was said that this child is reincarnation from her mother-in-law. It's said that she has treated her mother-in-law badly before. And before her mother-in-law passed away, she has mentioned something that she wanted to be born as this daughter-in-law child so that she would be taken care of her.
Shi fu also said about people's yuan fen to Buddha Dhamma. Some people do not have fate with Buddhism, they just think around themselves and always think about their problems. But those who has fate and believe in Dhamma, would find a solution to their problem. By having a positive mind about life, it helps a lot in making the things better in life.

Shi fu always mentions about karma. Ying and guo. And she always says that karma is fair. What you did is what you get. It's only that the time for karma to ripe is different and depends on your fate. She said.. we have to have a positive mind in life, and NEVER GIVE UP! Look at the nature! Look at the grass... The grass has been through a dryness, rain, storm, being stepped by people, etc.. but it always grows up. It was rotten or spoilt, but it would raise up again. That's the spirit that we always have to learn.

I love to listen to her story.. and so lucky that I have this yuan fen to hear her Dhamma. Not all people would be able to listen to this or believe in it. Some don't even bother about it. But I just want to thank the above.. for what I get.

Well.. going to sleep now... Thank you again for everything.. Good night...

Malan Lamian

Finally it opened at Chinatown last Thursday. I was eating there yday w/ my friend. The shop is not very big and the menu is limited. When we ate yday, they only serve 3 types of noodle, which is za jiang mian, pai ku mian, and niu lan mian, and 1 type of appetizer, pumpkin w/ prawn. Both of us ordered za jiang mian.
The price has decreased. It costs $4.80 per bowl. Usually it cost more than $6. But of course the portion was compromised. It became less, but we feel it just nice, not too less and not too much. The taste is still as good as usual. Chilli is more spicy.
No wonder they decrease the price 'cos the ambience you feel is different, feel like eating at normal coffee shop and a bowl of noodle cost $4.80 is still consider expensive compared w/ the usual $3 bowl of noodle.
They don't serve our favourite cucumber as appetizer and no more my hubby favorite fried noodle, quite disappointed. Perhaps I'll buy Sze Chuan cold noodle and liang fen rather than za jiang mian ba... But once in a while, that will be okay.

Goodbye dear 810

Hiks hiks.. I have to part w/ my darling.. forever... Since my friend need it, I've to sell it away. Rather than put it at home and wait for it to die peacefully, I'd better hand it over to someone else who need it. It doesn't cost much but at least can be put into a good use.
Hopefully the new owner will treasure you as I love you.... kekekekeke... *anyway, she's just going to use for few months before she buys a new one.. So... nothing is impermanence.
I used to buy things but seldom to sell. So, there is a feeling on it. Giving is different. Anyway... hope you can live in happily and in good care.. good bye my love...

Dream

It came again last nite. I don't know if it's sweet or bitter. I juz know that the feeling I encounter has always been the same. Suffering.
It's rite. Karma has played a very important part in our lives. What you sow is what you reap. This morning songs reminded me of my past - over and over again. But no matter what, I still love listening to it and wonder if the other part has the same feeling or not.
I slept early last nite. Should feel better today huh??? Well, gotta work nw. Have a great day everyone.. Cos everyday is a gift that we should always trasure...

Finally I bought it!!! ^^ B'cos soso bought it, I bought it too.. hahahaha.... Got khaki ma???
Thank you for $100 voucher each from Ray & Dajie, also from subscriber to reduce off another $100. Now it becomes more affordable to buy. I'm charging it now and read into the instruction book now, so I'll know how to use it. Hehehe... And later on, can use it there...
It's going to rain outside. Plan to stay at home for the rest of the day and play w/ my new toys.. Yahooo...... :D

Tired

So tired.. Holiday doesn't make me feel fresher, but made me becoming more tired. Hehehe.. But glad that I could go back again. Kids played satisfyingly at Kidzania and adults ate til we dropped - the belly. Hahahaha....
Work oh work.. coming back to work only to make me more tired. But w/out u. I've no money. Hahaha.. Writing blog in the middle of the nite - full of madness. Dunno what I write. Just.. feel sleepy and tired...
Tonite after work, we gathered @Justacia, at Dobhy Ghaut MRT Station nearby. It's Harpin's b'day and he invited us for dinner. Not bad. Ate ice creams all u can eat. I ate 4 scoops. Vanilla, coffee, strawberry and vanilla.. Ready to get fat! Or.. fat already?
Reever had fever since last day of my trip in Jkt. He went to see doctor twice and he's getting better today. Hope he'll get well tomorrow and after. He skipped school for 4 days, missed many classes. Hope he won't get stressed and can cope w/ it.
Holiday has over. Ray go back to reality. What he didn't feel during holiday, has returned back. He gets stressed like usual and just hope he can cope w/ it too.
Well.. gotta sleep soon. Feel very sleepy and tired. Hahaha.. Gud nite everyone. Hope you enjoy ur weekend... Muach...

Long tiring day...

Wah... today it's very very tiring day. After getting high last night, I found myself waking up w/ my glasses still on my head. Hahaha.. I couldn't even remember what I did after using the laptop. Did I turn it off myself? Or was my hubby doing it? I really can't remember at all.
Actually I was planning to wake up very late so that I could have enough rest after getting so tired for few days preparing the D&D dance and also doing month-end closing. But this morning, believe it or not... I even woke up earlier than my usual waking up time. My mother-in-law knocked our door at 6.40am to wake my son up 'cos he had to go to school at 7.20am. Since he woke up, I was woken up as well and couldn't get back to sleep anymore. Haiz.... I felt dizzy and.. hungry. I got changed soon and asked my mother-in-law to accompany me having breakfast. We went out for breakfast at 8am. I ordered fried beehoon w/ veggies & fish fillet, also a bowl of century egg pork porridge, which I shared w/ her. After makan, I had a walk to NTUC, then I had this sudden urge to go home as fast as I could.. Luckily everything went well so I managed to go to toilet and released on whatever things that was collected in my stomach.. hahahahaha....
At 10am, I went to my son's school, together w/ my mother-in-law, Reinier, and R's friend's mum & sis. After that six of us went to coffee shop to have another round of brunch. Hahaha... At first I didn't want to eat, but they kept asking me.. so.. I ordered vegetarian fried beehoon lor.. Hahahaha.. so big plate le.. Didn't finish the beehoon.. but ate the rest of the thing.
We went back home after children played at the playground for a while. At 1pm, R & I went out to meet my dajie at MRT Station. Dajie and R went to Vivo while I had my regular check up at SGH. R was successfully having Bumblebee from Toys r Us from his Kang Ma. Hahaha....
The blood test this time went very well. Doctor said my condition has been stable, the blood result is good, so he suggested me to reduce the amount of steroid that I take into another half. Wow... great!
I went to Bugis afterward praying at Kwan Im Temple, then met Dajie & R at BHG. Met up w/ PY to pass her things and vice versa. After that we had a walk for a while before we sat at McD to take a rest. It's first time to see the McD didn't sell drinks at all. They also didn't sell the Fillet O'Fish Burger due to the machine maintenance on progress. Can u imagine that????
We sat there until my friend came then we had bakuteh for dinner while my friend ordered lasagna. We were very full and tired so we decided to go back home. After reaching home, I had to pack all the barang2 needed for our short trip tomorrow to Jakarta. And I just finished it at 11.20pm. Wa... so tiring!!! Going to sleep soon.. Hopefully I can sleep longer tomorrow. Wish me luck!!! Good nite everyone, sweet dream. Muach...

D&D

Hi... just finished the yearly D&D organised by my working place. It was fun but a bit boring. Fun b'cos I was joining the dance competition this time and bored b'cos the magic thing was damned boring.. perhaps I drank too much ba... hehehehe. I drank 5 glass of beer... still managed to go home, but luckily my hubby was willingly to fetch me from MRT. Kekekekke....
And u know wad? I won the digital camera... Again??? This time by Panasonic... hiaz... It's the prize number 10 le.... Better than nothing... I kept asking my friend, if it's my number???? Scared I heard wrongly. So.. 2 digicam in a year??? What a coincidence!!! But I still prefer my Canon Ixus 100... :P I even bought the cover liao this afternoon @Central w/ my colleague.. hehehehehe...
I'm sleepy now le... but was happy. It's been some time since I drank this much... And tomorrow I'll be on leave... so I can sleep as long as I could.. hahahahahaaa... And the dance.. managed to got 2nd prize.. dunno what the prize is.. as long as I could get back the cash that I've put back to my dance floor.. shit... OK lah.. gotta sleep now... Btw.. one of my friends was dressing very cute tonite.. hahahahaha... Seldom to see him like that.. hahahahahhaha... byeeeee

Canon IXUS100

Guess what? While I was working this afternoon, I received a phone call. A lady called me saying that I've won the camera from the Smirnoff Lucky Draw that I sent last month. I thought I was dreaming!!! She asked me to collect it at where my hubby's Boss working!! Wow! What a coincidence! The place is not far from my working place, so I immediately went there and collect. When that lady asked my intention to go there, she was surprised! She didn't expect me to go there that fast! Hahaha... I reached there about 15 mins after she called. Kekeke.. A bit kiasu hor? I was curious la.. She said I won a camera, but I didn't know what camera that I won mah... Then found out that it's my favourite Canon Digital Camera, very slim (the slimmest so far), with 12 mega pixels and 3x digital zoom. Very light too. It's Canon IXUS100 (normal silver colour). Wa.. I was very happy le.. 'cos I very rarely win this type of lucky draw! The price is about SGD$469 outside. So.. not bad hor??? Actually I've been wanting to buy the compact camera 'cos currently my digicam is quite bulky.. so.. good lor.. can have one now... ^^
The lucky draw was simply started less than a month ago. After attending the Comm Session at my working place, I delivered the cakes to my two colleagues who were inside the store. When I reached there, both of them were busy finding the answers for the lucky draw entry. It's Smirnoff lucky draw. There were pictures of four footballers in the bottle and asked us to answer who were not inside the list of the players. All of us had no clue about the footballers (as we are not the fans of it), so we looked for the answers from the internet. Each bottle has one entry. There were 6 bottles, I guess.. and I took one entry. While they took two and three each. I still remembered, I was saying to one of my colleagues, 'give me one is enough. If lucky, send one would be enough. If no luck, send many also no use'. And... correct enough. I was lucky to win the camera. The guy won miniature of the team's souvenir, while the gal win nothing. But that's for weekly draw. There is still a main prize. So who knows they would win them... hehehehe.. The main prize is to fly to Manchester with free accommodation and other perks as well.
I've just charged the battery and 've tried to used it. Ok lah.. not many functions, but small enough to be put into my bag everywhere now. Hehehe... Well.. gotta sleep now. Gud nite.. Thank you for the camera...

I'm so tired.. good nite

I went out from office at 9.30pm. It's been a long day. I did the inventory stock for almost a whole day. It's tiring. I only started to key in the figure from 6pm. It's not done yet. Plus something happened at night. Haiz... I rushed down to MRT and then realized that I wore my working shoes instead of my normal sandal shoes. It's second time happen like this 'cos I was too tired to think about anything else except of going back home. Going to sleep now. Hopefully tomorrow will be better and things can go on smoothly. Gud nite.

Spaghetti Bolognaise

Today. like usual, we went to temple (me and my son). I went into the Dhamma class again. The Bhikkhuni was talking about the 3rd sila (not to do sexual misconduct). She explained on the reasons behind it, on why we shouldn't do that. Quite interesting. Too bad that my hubby wasn't there, otherwise we could share our laugh there.
After that we went to AMK Hub and straightly went to NTUC. I shopped the ingredients for cooking the Spaghetti Bolognaise, using pork meat. My son asked me to cook it as he loves to eat it. Hehehe... So we went back home and I straightly went to kitchen to cook it. I bought Campbell cream of mushroom too, but it was't so nice.. dun think will buy it again next time. I bought the baguette and make my own garlic butter paste to have a crunchy and delicious garlic bread. Hehehe.. So.. soup and garlic bread for appetizer. Spaghetti for main course. And dessert is... yoghurt w/ small cuts of pineapple and strawberry. Nyummy. My hubby came back home at about 8.45pm. He finished it very fast! And there still left quite a lot.. I thought of eating it again tomorrow. But just now when I checked it out in kitchen, it's almost finished by my sis-in-law. Hiks...... I think I'm going to cook Japanese curry again tomorrow, so that everyone can enjoy.. My bro and families will come over after Reever's Kumon. Well.. it's 1.15am now, still haven't slept yet. In a while ba..
Just download iTunes software 3.0 from internet. Have to pay 10 bucks for it. But at least now I can play the applications that I've downloaded from internet. I can play games from iPod touch now. Hehee... Ok lah... write till here.. Have a great weekend!!!
