Locks of Love @Central, Clarke Quay – Singapore

If you’ve been following my blog and read about my journey during traveling in Seoul, you must have heard about the ‘Locks of Love’ located at Seoul Tower. You can review the post here.

Locks of Love

For those who’ve been to or currently stay in Singapore, do you know that there is also a place in Singapore where ‘Locks of Love’ is located?

Locks of Love at Central, Clarke Quay - Singapore

If you see the title above, yes, that’s the answer. In fact, you may have passed by the area many times without noticing the location at all haha.. That includes myself :P

Where locks are sold

I saw the grills with locks quite some time ago, but only today I saw the place where the locks were sold, which was just nearby the area. The thing was quite big and tall, but I only noticed it today. That's also after I saw a couple of foreigner just stepped out from the machine. Lolx! The lock was sold at S$4 only - much cheaper than in Seoul, which was sold at S$10 each.

Variety of locks plus tags and photos :)

Some put their couple photo together with the locks. Some brought their own padlock (which was varies in shapes and sizes). Some even included a spanner there (wonder on what purpose of doing that!) But all had the same goal – to lock their love and signifying it by lock the padlock into the grill provided. After that, many would throw the key of the padlock to the river located just in front of the mall. Oh.. poor river…. :D

Yes Sonam, what a poor river ^^ I don't dare to anyhow throw the key there because I'm afraid that I will get "fined" for doing that! Lolx!

Yea they even have a giantic big heart structure for couples to place more locks. There's actually more creativity and romance in Singapore now haha.

You are true Anonymous! Even though I was here almost everyday, only this morning I found out about the big heart structure that you mentioned on your comment. I guess it's more on earning more money from padlocks rather than more creativity and romance hahaha.... ;)
