I took some free postcards, including free postages from the rack on the street. Thought of writing few words to some old friends. To my nightmares..., when I opened my old address book, lots of addresses haven't been updated yet and nowadays it's kinda uncommon to ask for someone's address. They prefer to give their email address rather than the real address where they currently live. Other than privacy reason, also for security reason. So, I still sent some, pray that they are still living there, or other family members are still there so that they still can pass the postcard to the addresee.
When I was young, I started to write letter to penpals. I got the address from kids magazines. There was once when my sis, our childhood friends, and I ganged up together creating false identity to a girl. My sis and my friend were acting as boys who were planning to go abroad for studying. So before both of them went abroad, we agreed to meet up in a shopping centre. We arranged a gift exchange with her.
On the way to the meeting place, we realised that the gift was left out inside the bajaj, so we had to buy another one for her. We ended up buy two pair of socks for her. Hahahhaa....
Before that, we often go to the public phone box near our house in the evening, trying to call her using 50 rupiah coins. Sometimes, when we're lucky enough, when the phone was error, we could talk longer without topping up more coins.. Hahahaha... What a childhood times we had!!!
There was no internet, no handphone. So we usually communicate using letter, post cards, and phone.
Since phone was quite expensive (our parents even locked the house phone, not to let us use and chat for long time), letter would be a cheaper alternative.
I often kept in touch with my friends using letter. Especially when I was studying in China, I love the stamps, so I would purposedly go to post office, found nice stamps, and paste it on the envelopes, so the receiver would enjoy it as well.
Gone are those days. Now everything is electronised. Save money, save time. Most importantly, we still can send the message to the receiver.
Going back to work now. Have a great day everyone!

Not every story has a happy ending.. Not for the last drama that I watched. Watching it marathon last Saturday, Sunday, and yesterday night, the 32 series had finally ended and it ended sadly... Once I told my hubby, the Taiwanese actor/actress are actually quite good. They can express themselves as if it's real. The title of the series is 'The Girl in Blue'. At first I thought, why the title is so weird.. Is it because the girl always wears blue clothing? I tried to notice her clothings, well, yes, she wears blue, but not wearing it all the time. She also wears other colours too... When the story ended, I just realised, the title is like that because she has been facing sadness al the time.., although there were lots of moments of happiness too.
Sickness and die are part of life. It can happen to anyone, anytime. Didn't see how young or how old you are. Didn't see how rich or how poor. Didn't see how beautiful or how ugly. It's just happening to everybody. Only after they found their happiness, this thing happened! How sad it is!!!
One day we'll face it too.. To lose someone we love.. Or people who we love will lose us. Just hope that we can all face it bravely and always think that no matter what.. Live still goes on! When someone is gone, doesn't mean the world stops going around. Doesn't mean our lives have ended too. It's just a reality that there is nothing permanent in life. What you can do is treasure every second and every minutes you get together.
I'm talking to myself too.. Not always spending time to watch series and neglecting your hubby and son! :D still can watch, but limit your time la!!! Not watching it continuously day and night, ok? They also need your love and attention hor!! Me: 'OK OK!!! I will do some changes on it, OK?' :)
Have a great day everyone!!!

Yesterday it was raining since morning 'til afternoon time. The famous Orchard Road was flooded because of that. Some places was flooded badly. It really reminded me of my hometown and how suffered it was when it happened.
I had Mexican food for lunch with a friend. Just an impulse decision to go there and eat. Food taste is getting common for me, perhaps I eat it too often?
After work, I immediately went back home. I ate one bacang made by my hubby's grandma and another one made by my colleague's mother. Both taste good. But I couldn't eat it too much as I'm easy to get fat :)
So, after took a bath, thought of watching a drama, just an episode. Already thought of lying on my bed early as a result of waking up early as to be able to catch the other drama online (I was trying to catch it the night before but the internet was overcrowded so the speed was damn slow, that's why I decided to wake up at 6am yesterday morning).
After an episode, it urged me to watch another one, 'cos the story was related closely and made me wanted to watch more. So after that episode, there were 2 episodes left to the end, and apparently I kept watching it until 1am and it's finally over.
After watching few Taiwanese drama, I feel that most drama have common story. It involves a lead female star with 2 other lead male stars (usually both rich and famous), and another supporting woman who will come as third party. Haiz.. And all stories must go one big round before both lead male and female star would actually get together and result in happy ending.
Sometimes it reminds myself to be lucky that I don't have to face much dramatic stories in life, and can find my other half without much problems. Well, yes I had failed relationship too in the past, but at least it still leads me to the happy ending. Although the lead male star is not as rich and famous as what they always have in movies, but have a peaceful in mind and feel secured is something that can't be replaced of. I mean, what's the point of getting rich and handsome partner who is not loyal to you? At least I'll have less problem in that... :D
Today there was another short article written by Mr Geoff Tan at mypaper, the story of have the foresight of a content fisherman. The story is as per follow: Complimenting the fisherman of the quality of his catch, the businessman asked how long it took to haul in the fish. "Only a little while," the fisherman replied. The young man asked: "Why didn't you stay out longer and catch more?". The content fisherman said: "This is enough to support my family's needs. I don't need any more."
"But what do you do with the rest of your time?"
"I sleep late, fish a little, play with my children, take a walk with my wife, stroll into the village each evening where I sip wine and play guitar with my buddies. I have a full and busy life."
The young chap scoffed: "I have a Harvard MBA and can help you. Spend some more time fishing and, with the proceeds from your catch, buy a bigger boat."
"Using the proceeds earned from hauling in more fish with the bigger boat, you can buy several boat, and eventually, you own a fishing fleet. So, instead of selling your catch to a middleman, you can sell the fish directly to a processor, and open youe own cannery eventually. You will then be in control of the product, processing and distribution. You will have to leave this small village and move to a city to run your expanding enterprise. This will take 15 to 20 years."
The fisherman asked: "But what then?"
"That's the best part. When the time is right, you announce an IPO, sell your company's stock and become very rich."
"Then what?"
"Then you would retire, move to a small village where you would sleep late, fish a little, play with your kids, take a walk with your wife, stroll to the village in the evenings and sip wine, and play guitar with your buddies."
The morale of the story is: when we rush to fulfil our financial goals, we sometimes do not realise that we already have what we hope to achieve at the end of the day. While it's true, this does not apply to some of us, that "roses" were already there at the start. Perhaps we have been too busy scaling up the career ladder to notice the roses strewn accross our path.
It is sad when we hear of people who fail to reach their destinations and who chalk up a host of health complications and disappointments along the way.
Good story right? So.. We should remind ourselves over and over again to feel contented with what we have. Don't always look up to see what we don't have, but instead to be grateful and content with what we have.
Today, I wanna congratulate my bro and sis-in-law who celebrate their 16th Wedding Anniversary, hope they will always be blessed with good health, prosperity, smooth career, full of love and luck! Have a great day everyone!
At the same time, I offer my condolescence to my sis and bro-in-law, for the leaving of the father of my bro-in-law 3 days ago. The body was cremated this morning. Hope that his father can be rebornt in better life.
As for tonight, I'm going to watch 3D Toy's Story 3 with my dear hubby and son. Our first time watch the 3D movie :) hehehe... Wish all of you had a great day!!!

Happy 8th Anniversary me n my hubby

Just finished our dinner at home sweet home... We invited my bro and his families, also my eldest sis, her hubby, and her hubby sis and families who happen to visit Singapore. We had steamboat at home. The food flown non-stop, and everybody is full. Kekeke...

Dajie made the red wine mixed with Sprite and lime juice as cocktails, then we had some Tequila w/ lime juices as dessert wine. Kekeke... with a pinch of salt to make it as Margarita. Hahahaha....

Anyway, thanks my hubby for preparing our dinner. Also for the love and care that you have given to me and Reever for these past 8 years. Hope we still can go through it all together in more years to come. ^^

Post some pics here as it's been quite some time I hadn't posted any pic...

Wow... It's June 3rd today. Month end closing has been so far so good. Not yet go for P&L meeting, sure cost is going high... This month will be much higher, I guess, with Crab Promotion ahead, also World Cup is also coming soon!
Tomorrow will be my 8th Anniversary. How time flies. Since my eldest sis and bro-in-law were coming, we decided to have steamboat at home to celebrate. There will be some other people coming too to make the dinner more crowded :)
They plan to go to Casino afterwards, can leave me out, kekekeke.... Actually at first my hubby wanna celebrate it by having dinner just two of us, but since they are coming, why not having dinner together? The more the happier hehehehee...

This month my colleagues and I will be clearing leave, so I will have to be ready to cover up their duties, especially when Crab Promo is here, I'll be much busier... Hiks...
With new wines coming up, I also have to think a way on how to create a fair incentive system to be distribute out. Haiya....

Doraemon fair is until 6th June, hope I get a chance to see it. And next Monday I'll be going to Singapore Universal Studio for a very first time. Too bad the roaller coaster is still under renovation, but I hope the rest of the rides will be ok.

Previous weekend was filled with Taiwan drama fever. I loved watching it as if I was living in a dream with those handsome actors... And don't feel like facing reality to get to work. Hahahaha....

Great Singapore Sale has also been started since 28 May. I had some impulse buying for clothes, kekekkee... But since the price are reasonable, why not??

Oklah.. Gotta continue with my job.. Wo shi shui.. Ni shi fou chang chang wen zi ji...
